PPEU Invitation
Δημοσιεύτηκε: 19 Μάιος 2012, 18:11
Dear friends and colleagues,
As the Elections for the European Parliament draw closer, we need to
start working on a common ground as soon as possible if we want to be
well prepared. It is very important that the diverse views of the
European pirates and Pirate Parties are represented in the work
groups, so that the proposals that are put forward at the PPEU
founding conference have already the widest acceptance possible, and
an agreement is easily achieved.
Therefore, I encourage you to actively participate in the PPEU work
groups and to promote participation among the members of your Pirate
Party as well. Or, if this is not possible, that you make sure that
there is at least one person from your party that does, to make sure
all voices are heard.
I send you the invitation following these lines on behalf of the
administration coordination work group at the PPEU, so that you have
the relevant information regarding this matter.
Best regards,
Muriel Rovira Esteva

Dear fellow pirates,
the Prague declaration (http://piratenpad.de/p/ppeuprogram) signed by
many participants at the PPI Conference in April 2012 was the first of
many steps towards a common European organization.
We are now in preparation of the next steps towards its architecture
and program. We kindly ask for your support and participation in these
two topics.
The first major goal is to plan for and realize a founding meeting for
this new European organization. Until then we have to clarify many
different topics including organizational and legal aspects for which
we have created a statutes group (details below).
A potential target date for a founding meeting is Nov.16th - 18th 2012
in Ettelbruck (http://ettelbruck.lu/fr/Daichhal). However, we need to
confirm this date within the next few weeks, so that Jerry Weyer and
the Pirate Party of Luxemburg can start with the organisation of the
event. So we kindly ask you to confirm until May 31st 2012.
The second important topic is to generate a common program based on
the input and positions of the participants. This group will discuss
all party programs to allow the promotion of a common program at the
EU elections in 2014.
We encourage you to name at least one person for each group to
contribute, assure your party's interests and discuss constructively.
If you already have an international coordinator that person may be
appropriate for this purpose. The tasks of the coordinators are mainly
- to help in understanding / translating your party's programs
- to discuss and vote about the statutes of the new organization
- to coordinate to and from your party and serve as contact person.
