I have opened this post after some related emails sent in the PPEU mailing list by members of other Pirate Parties.
Please let them have a say about us. I have invited them to answer to my following message:

Dear Fellow Pirates,

The morale of some greek pirates is down and some are afraid to move forward more drastically.

I am going to explain.

First of all as a new Party we strungled to raise the money needed to print our ballots for the elections of 6th of May. Now some greek pirates are hesitating to accept that we need to participate to the elections of 17th of June because they are afraid that we cannot sustain it economically. The main reason is that by law, funding from people outside Greece is forbidden for any political party. In fact the only legitimate way to give money to a party is to go to a bank in person.

Bank transfers, paypal and other means of electronic money transfer to Pirate Party of Greece (and other Parties) are blocked by the banks. Though, parties elected previously are funded by the State.
We have to use a personal paypal account and then the owener to made a donnation to the Party at his name.

So, some more 'concervative' members of our Party are afraid to take steps like these. On the other side, other pirates support that we need to move more drastically in order to fight and manage to 'hack' the corrupted system created by the major parties for the last 30+ years.

At this point, all that I ask is your solidarity and your motivation to help animate our members. The crisis in Greece has made our people to lost their courage, even among us, the young people who founded the Pirate Party of Greece and who have found a little courage to stand up and promote the pirate idea, we still miss this spark that it will get us going on.

Please, post at this topic of the forum () whatever message of courrage and support you may give us. Show to all the members of our Party what unity, participation and men power means.

I know it may be really dificult to be in greece this days. Changes are allways hard. It doesnt matter if they are peacefully or not. The entire world is watching how your country is drowning day by day. It doesn't matter after the first there is a second, and a third...
Your strenght is not for stoping what it is done. All of you must be hard, not because what is happening but for the only real moment of change that can make your people rise up and say "we are going to be fine". It doesn't matter if you get drowned at last or not. It matters that you can take your people and become a real good option for developing correctly the country since the moment it ends.
You have my blessing for the future. Hope it would be lightful. Hope is the last thing a man must loose.

best wishes from Northrhine Westphalia, Germany. We have just finished the election campaign for our federal state parliament - with relatively low funds, we managed to become the 5th strongest party in the federal state parliament. Our Pirate party even managed to become 3rd strongest party in many of the central urban parts of the state and in some local polling places, we even were the 2nd strongest party!

Compared to the other parties in the federal state parliament (including the socialists which missed to reach the 5-percent-hurdle), we had the lowest campaign budget. We had the lowest amount of election posters and giveaways. We had the fewest members.

BUT we had the hearts and minds of our fellow Pirates. We went onto the streets, showed presence, talked and discussed with as many people as possible. We brought our thoughts and plans into the media, from local newspapers to the top-notch TV debates.
We have the power of our ideas, we have the attractivity of our way to bring politics back to the people. We have the manpower of our members who are convinced that with our program, we can write a new chapter in the political history of our countries.

Don't give up, folks! Get out on the streets and bring the 'Pirate spirit' to the people. Use the Internet and its' power to reach lots of hearts and minds. Found local public regular groups, invite the local press and everyone who wants to discuss about politics. Bring the Pirate party ideals to every place where political discussion and public engagement is possible.
The key to make people vote for us is not lots of money. The key is to bring the Pirate party idea into the perception of the public.

The more people know about us and recognize our plans, concepts and programs being a real alternative to the other parties, the more votes we will get!

Greetings from Catalonia! We were asked for some courage for you but... you already have it! You ran for elections with a few months of life and you got a huge result. Now it is time to raise again our flag and sail. It is hard, I know. I collaborated in three elections here in Catalonia. You can do it again! Be proud of being pirates, spread it between your friends and acquaintances, go out to the streets and squeeze the social networks!

Αγαπητή φίλοι Έλληνες Πειρατές,
Πολλές ευχές από την Βόρεια Ρηνανία-Βεστφαλία, Γερμανία. Μόλις τελειώσαμε τον εκλογικό αγώνα για το ομοσπονδιακό κοινοβούλιο – με σχετικά χαμηλές χορηγίες, καταφέραμε να γίνουμε το 5ο σε δυναμικότητα κόμμα στο κοινοβούλιο. Το κόμμα των Πειρατών κατάφερε να γίνει το τρίτο κόμμα σε πολλά από τα κεντρικά αστικά κέντρα της περιφέρειας και σε κάποια τοπικά τμήματα ήμασταν ακόμα και το 2ο κόμμα.
Σε σύγκριση με τα άλλα κόμματα του κοινοβουλίου (συμπεριλαμβάνοντας τους σοσιαλιστές που δεν κατάφεραν να πιάσουν το 5%), είχαμε το μικρότερο προϋπολογισμό για τον εκλογικό μας αγώνα. Είχαμε το μικρότερο αριθμό αφισών, και φευ βολάν. Είχαμε τα λιγότερα Μέλη.
Αλλά είχαμε το μυαλό και την καρδιά των φίλων Πειρατών. Βγήκαμε στους δρόμους, δώσαμε το παρόν, μιλήσαμε και συζητήσαμε με όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερους ανθρώπους . Κοινοποιήσαμε τις σκέψεις μας και τα σχέδιά μας στα Μ.Μ.Ε., από τις τοπικές εφημερίδες μέχρι τα Κορυφαία τηλεοπτικά ντιμπέιτ.

Μην απογοητεύεστε. Βγείτε στους δρόμους και μεταδώστε το Πειρατικό πνεύμα στους ανθρώπους. Χρησιμοποιήστε το Internet και την δύναμή του για να προσεγγίσετε πολλές ψυχές και μυαλά. Ιδρύστε τοπικά γραφεία, καλέστε τον τοπικό Τύπο και όποιον θέλει να συζητήσει για πολιτική. Μεταδώστε τα Πειρατικά ιδεώδη σε κάθε μέρος όπου γίνεται πολιτική κουβέντα και δημόσια πολιτική συζήτηση.

Hannover is the capital of the federal state of Lower Saxony. We will have elections in January 2013. Our budget is very low, and we did not receive any financial support besides our membership fee so far.
We will definitively run electoral campaign with a much lower budget than any other party around. But our voters know this and they like us for being this way.

I am sure your voters will accept you showing that you run for elections with a low budget. What would be better in a situation as you have it right now in Greece?

Ανόβερο είναι η πρωτεύουσα του ομόσπονδου κρατιδίου της Κάτω Σαξονίας. Θα έχουμε εκλογές τον Ιανουάριο του 2013.. Ο προϋπολογισμός μας είναι πολύ χαμηλά, και δεν έχουμε λάβει καμία οικονομική υποστήριξη εκτός συνδρομών των μελών μας μέχρι τώρα.
Θα τρέξει οριστικά προεκλογική εκστρατεία με πολύ χαμηλότερο προϋπολογισμό από οποιοδήποτε άλλο κόμμα γύρω. Αλλά οι ψηφοφόροι μας το γνωρίζουν αυτό και μας αρέσει για να είναι αυτός ο τρόπος.

Είμαι βέβαιος ότι οι ψηφοφόροι σας θα σας δεχτεί δείχνουν ότι τρέχετε για τη διεξαγωγή εκλογών με χαμηλό προϋπολογισμό. Τι θα ήταν καλύτερο σε μια κατάσταση όπως την έχετε τώρα στην Ελλάδα;
